Who should decide which books are suitable for young people? Q.#5

I think that if a teacher refuses to stop using a book then they shouldn't be fired , i love reading more mature book , allot of the books i read in fact have strong language , drug usage, and other "inappropriate " things , but i find them more captivating and it gets me to read , I shouldn't be limited to "PG" books , I mean these books teach kids allot about what can happen if you get pregnant at a early age or if you be come addicted to drugs or if your being abused , these books are the real deal , there not sugar coated to keep us "safe" from what you think is inappropriate. I mean kids are more likely to go out and start smoking and drinking and being reckless cause they don't know the dangers of these things. Also , if you think that "Little red riding hood." is an inappropriate book then you should think about all the other books your kids maybe reading like "Alice in wonderland." that book is more or less based on philatelic drug usage and if you actually read the real Grimm brother's stories you'll find not every story has a happy ending like they make it seem.
I also think that parents should be aware of what their kids are reading , and that sooner or later the child will have to learn these thing , I mean you can't keep you child locked up forever never knowing about the outside world and that by letting them read these books they can (by them selves ) learn right from wrong . I have read several books that have so called "vulgar " language in it , but if the child doesn't learn it from a book they'll learn it some where else , like in a movie,television,from their friends , maybe if from you if your not watching what you say , i mean especially if they are in middle school , you don't think we cuss and talk about stuff like this ? and it's not a bad thing that were learning thins it just means were growing up and were learning about life and the real world , not some happily ever after fairy tale were the good guy wins and the bad guy looses. In my opinion i think that the edgier the book the better , i like my books with more mature language ,but hey that's just my opinion
