A Christmas Carol


I think people should look out for each other and not just them selves cause if you treat people how did want to be treated they will most likely treat you good too , so if you watch for someone , even just asking how they are and talking to them their going to treat you the same , but if you don't be kind and watch for people , then they will only remember you as a scrooge an won't care about you , i think if people are kind to one another than good fortune will rub off on them.

Scroge's Diary . December 24, 1843

Today my ignorant nephew came to the counting house and asked if i would like to come to dinner, Bah! What a fool wasting his time being merry and what not , why should he be happy , what does he posses that is worth being happy , all he is , is a poor young fool , the clerk has also taken part in this merriment , he's asked for the day off so he can spend Christmas with his family , Bah! All the people sing and being merry on street corners makes me ill , it's just a poor excuse for picking a man's pocket every twenty-fifth of December!BAH HUMBUG!

Pearl symbolism

In the book "The Pearl" the pearl symbolizes hope and dreams that people have , like how Kino and Juana dream to get married and to have coyotito go to school , it also symbolizes greed and how other people become jealous when someone else has something valuable , like how the doctor and the towns people and priest all want the pearl for their own wants and needs
